Selected companies are invited to submit their full business plan electronically.

June 4-25, 2008 - Business Plan Submission

Selected companies submit business plans electronically – Pitching dates set

June 25 - July 9, 2008 - Judges Business Plan Review

Plans are reviewed by the judges

July 9-10, 2008 - Presentation Round – In Person Judging

The 25 companies present a 7 minute pitch to the judges with Q&A

July 16, 2008 - Top 12 Semi-Finalists Notified

Judges selects the 12 semi-finalist – Head coaches assigned. Semi-Final round pitch date set

July 30, 2008 - Coaching

Coaches work the Semi-Finalists to refine and hone their business plan and pitch

July 30 - August 20, 2008 - Updated Business Plan Submission

12 Semi-Finalists may re-submit their updated business plans.

September 3, 2008 - Semi-Final Round – In Person Judging

12 Semi-Finalists present a 5 minute pitch to the judges with Q&A

September 10, 2008 - Top 7 Finalists Notified

Judges select the 7 Finalist – Coaching dates set along with final pitch times

September 24, 2008 - Finalist Coaching

Coaches work with Semi-Finalists to further refine and hone their business plan and pitch

September 24 - October 15, 2008 - Updated Business Plan Submission

November 5, 2008 - Finalist Pitches – In Person Judging

7 Finalist present an elevator pitch 2 minutes with remaining time reserved for Q&A and further advice

November 18, 2008 - Entrepreneurial Celebration Ceremony

Mayor Kathy Taylor’s Tulsa Entrepreneurial Spirit Award has been created to motivate an increase in entrepreneurial endeavors in Tulsa. The award process is also designed to increase the promotion of resources available to support entrepreneurs as they grow their businesses.
